How does spending £38,500 of taxpayers money for each of the 6,000 Rover employees made redundant in April represent good value for money?
Other employees face redundancy each day but are not lucky to enough to be made redundant in marginal Labour constituencies just weeks before a General election.

I could never understand what all the fuss was about back in April, to me it was just another factory laying off workers, what's new about that?
Nobody gave a shit when back in 89 I had to let go people I had worked with for fifteen plus years because footwear manufacturing jobs had all gone to the Far East.
None of those folk myself included were looking at redundancy payments like these either.
