Food Price Hikes

When will charities such as "Save the Children" suggest that the best way the "poor" can cope with rising food prices are:

• Get jobs!
• Cut alcohol consumption!
• Cut the smokes!
• Have fewer children if you can't afford them!

PS They can thank Gordon Brown for higher food prices thanks to his policies that have destroyed the value of Sterling in the last twelve months!

Advertising against teenage pregnancies?

If you are a pregnant teenager, would you really want to give up your chance for the following benefits by having an abortion?

• Jump to the top of the council housing list?
• Welfare benefits such as Income Support, Child Tax credits or Sure Start Maternity Grant?
• Childcare?

Breeding poverty

When will the Government realise that eradicating child poverty is impossible when the poorest in society breed like rabbits!?!

Not NEET!

How many "NEETS" are already parents!?!

It's hard to imagine a group of people with fewer skills for raising children!

Growing benefits?

Will lone parents need to have more children if they face losing benefits when their youngest child is 12 rather than 16 as at present!?!

New Labour rehashed?

Would it be cheaper to discourage vulnerable families from having more children by cutting benefits rather than expanding state boarding schools to "transform the lives of vulnerable children"!?!

It's ironic that one of Labour's first policies on coming to power in 1997 was to scrap the Assisted Places Scheme that could transform the lives of gifted children!

Classless society

Do the poorest members of society care about narrowing the UK's class gap when they can look forward to council tax rebates or free insulation if they wait and do nothing!?!

Why are so few poor people concerned that the "relationship between low qualifications and low income is stronger in the UK than anywhere except the United States."? Would they be more concerned if the welfare state was less generous!?!

How many of the 110,000 "problem families" with disruptive youngsters to be targeted as part of a crackdown on knife crime rely on benefits!?!

Knife crime will not be curtailed until the welfare state is reformed to reward responsible behaviour and penalise irresponsible behaviour.

Tax credit income disregard!?!

How has HMRC managed to save the taxpayer £700m by reducing tax credit overpayments last year?

Simple, by increasing the so-called "tax credit income disregard" from £2,500 to £25,000 before an overpayment is recognised!

How many new jobs would be created if incapacity benefits were reduced to the national minimum wage?
