Parting shots

If a Sinn Fein MP has no regrets for the 1984 Brighton bombing as it was "part of a war", does he also consider the 1988 shooting of three terror suspects in Gibraltar by the SAS to be "part of a war"?

At least those shot in Gibralter were combatants.

I rather doubt that Mrs Tebbit has touched a gun in her life.

It is this sort of shocking rolling-over-and-having-your-tummy-tickled that is exposed when you note that condoning acts of terrorism in the Northern Ireland conflict will not be illegal when the incitement to think ill of the government (AKA Incitement to Religious Hatred) legislation is imposed.
