CBBC is bad for you

Will the BBC reduce the amount of childrens programmes it broadcasts in response to a study showing that those who watch the most television as children are the likeliest to be obese adults?

"The International Journal of Obesity study found the 41% who were overweight or obese by the age of 26 were those who had watched most TV".

This is actually part of a careful strategy to turn kids into recalcitrant little bundles of obesity - thus providing subjects for programmes like 'Little Angels' and the glut of 'super nanny' like nonsense currently in vogue.

They're actually sowing up both ends of their particular market - something even Mr Murdock would approve of surely?

Don't take these kind of "studies" too seriously, there's lies, damn lies and statistics.
