'Tough' for Conservative detractors?

David Cameron suggests that if core Tory voters are upset by the direction in which he is leading the party then "that's tough."

Has he already explained the reasons for a fourth successive Conservative electoral defeat?

I suppose you could spend the next few years as leader of the Conservative Party just telling people what they wanted to hear and jolly them along and everyone would be happy — and then you would lose another election. Well, I don't see the point of that. - David Cameron.

What is wrong with offering policies that the public want to hear? The Conservatives won more votes in England than Labour in 2005 because of it!

I would rather abstain at the next General Election than endorse a man whose contempt for core Tory voters knows no bounds.
