Inciting hoaxers

Why has the Ripper hoaxer been jailed for so long? Eight years seems excessive when Abu Hamza was only jailed for seven years for inciting murder and racial hatred.

Well, It should be because Jack distracted the police and got people killed. They were looking at the wrong clues and it led them away from the real killer. Hamaz is just been made an example of for no reason bar politics. Although it couldn't have happenned to a nicer person it still should not have happened.
