This Septic Isle

Welsh students are to pay £1,800 less than English students attending the same Welsh Universities in the latest addition to a growing list of anti-English discrimination across the UK. Scotland already offers free residential care whilst cheaper Welsh prescriptions will soon be "Welsh Only" to prevent English cross-border Health Tourism.

Can the English expect lower tax rates to compensate for this? I'm not aware of any discounts for being English in England.

I feel very sorry for the long suffering and economically put upon English. Why should the fund the "celtic fringe"?

While the USA is hardly a perfect analogy, students at state-supported American universities within their own state pay considerably less tuition than "out-of-state" students. E.g., a resident of the state of Maryland or Florida could expect to pay 2-to-3 times more to attend the prestigious University of Virginia than a Virginia resident.

Dear George,
you are correct! Your analogy isn't perfect. Infact, it's like comparing weasels to dinosuars.

The USA is a country therefore what various states within the USA do is quite legal and non-discriminatory as the students would probably all be citizens/residents of the U.S.A.
Comparing what happens in the U.S.A. to the U.K. when the U.K. is splitting back into it's constituent parts is ridiculous.

So anyway, where was I? If the welsh and scots are going to charge English students MORE money for the same education then the English need to do the same to the welsh and scots in England. Which is just one reason why the scots and welsh dont want England to have an English parliament. Which is why, in turn, scottish and welsh new labour are doing EVERYTHING they can to ruin England. I HATE THEM. WHEN DOES THE BIG RUCK START?

Not just that but Scottish universities charge English students MORE than students from other EU nations.

Does anyone else think talking about the situation is pointless?
There is no democracy! They are going to do whatever they want when they want UNLESS we do something about it.
