If he promised to increase the basic personal allowance to #10,000 and scrap Gordon's tax credits, he would galvanise support!
Labour "fears" about how such tax cuts would be funded can be easily rebuffed - increase borrowing;)

How many HMRC offices don't have letterboxes!?! Is this a new HMRC security feature to prevent CDs getting lost in the post!?!

Bradford & Bungley
If the Government wants to protect the taxpayer from the recent nationalisation of Bradford & Bingley, will it let HMRC cross reference it's tax records with Bradford & Bingley's self-certified and buy-to-let mortgages!?!

Credit where it's not due!
If HMRC know that £1.5bn of tax credit payments were lost to " fraud, accidental overclaims and other errors" in 2006/07, why can't they prevent them!?!
Is HMRC more likely to over or under-estimate the amount lost!?!
