Magic pill or poison pill?

How much did it cost the taxpayer to pay management consultants to come up with proposals to reduce the bloated NHS budget only to reject their proposals when the report was completed!?!

NHS is best?

If the NHS is the best in the world, why has no other country adopted the NHS funding model!?!

"Imitation is the sincerest of flattery." - Charles Caleb Colton

Death by a million targets?

Why has it taken four years to notice that death rates in A&E at Stafford Hospital were far higher than average?

Which other hospitals currently have death rates far higher than should be expected!?!

Birth pains?

How many NHS negligence claims are made by foreign-born mothers!?! Does the NHS check they have a right to use NHS services before making a negligence claim!?!

"More than half of the total payouts are for maternity-related cases."

"When Labour came to power, the NHS spent around £1bn a year on maternity services, with one baby in eight delivered to a foreign-born mother. Ten years on, spending has risen to £1.6bn, with almost one baby in four delivered to a mother born overseas."

National Poor Health Service?

If "70% of both women and men said they would be more careful about creating waste if they had to pay for it to be collected", would "70% of both women and men [say] they would be more careful about [their health]" if they had to pay for their own medical treatment rather than rely on the NHS!?!

Health fascism!

When will companies become liable to charges of failing to look after the health and safety of their employees by providing vending machines selling chocolate and soft drinks!?!

Health fascists are on the march!

Patient Satisfaction Scores

Would NHS patient feedback schemes be required if funding followed the patient and poor quality hospitals were allowed to fail!?!

Unhealthy tourism?

How many health tourists have sued the NHS for poor quality treatment over the years!?!

Does the NHS ensure that litigants were entitled to free NHS treatment before paying compensation?

Kidney has beens!

If the NHS can afford the "high cost of [HIV] treatment and care" for African immigrants who are "often asylum seekers or refugees", why can't it afford to treat people with advanced kidney cancer?

Free market embraces the NHS!?!

If NHS care is universally excellent, why should patient feedback help determine the level of funding for GPs and hospitals!?!

When will schools follow!?!

NHS - Nation's Hospitals Sold?

Try to imagine Labour's protests had the Conservatives dared to propose selling London's hospitals and leasing them back...

Labour's plans would make sense if Britain didn't need any hospitals twenty years from now. As it is, selling and leasing hospitals back will cost the taxpayer millions more in the long run!

Can we assume the hospitals will be sold to offshore trusts to avoid tax!?!

Free NHS parking

Could free car-parking at English NHS hospitals be subsidised by the forecast £1.8bn English NHS surplus this year!?!

"We don't think it makes sense to spend money that's currently being spent on patient care - getting people treated faster and better - on subsidising car parks. " - Ben Bradshaw, Health Minister.

You can't handle the truth!

Why should David Cameron wish to punish Lord Mancroft for describing the nurses who treated him at the Royal United Hospital in Bath as "mostly grubby, [ ] drunken and promiscuous"?

Welcome to the real world Lord Mancroft! Are we supposed to ignore reality David!?!

Free healthcare

Have senior civil servants been sacked for signing contracts guaranteeing the income of private clinics regardless of how many procedures they carry out!?!

"On average, 84% of the value of the 25 contracts - worth over £1.2bn in total - were being fulfilled."

"We now have the spectacle of millions of pounds being paid out to private companies for operations that never take place." - Karen Jennings, head of health at Unison

Ministry of Disease and Incompetence?

Will Ministers condemn themselves for increasing GP's pay without expecting them to offer evening and weekend surgeries!?!

"Average family doctor pay in the UK rose by 10% to £110,000 in 12 months. It comes after pay rose by 20% in the first year and means GPs have seen pay rise by about £30,000 in two years."

The wealth of welfare?

Why is the NHS looking to "build-in" the extra capacity needed at maternity units to cope with increasing numbers of foreign mothers giving birth rather than calling for cuts in immigration to reduce their supply!?!

Does giving birth offer foreign mothers a wealth of welfare benefits and a British passport!?!

All for free and free for all!

What prevents NHS hospitals from charging private patients in advance of treatment to ensure they have no bad debts to write off?

Not all overseas patients are charged!

Constitutionally speaking?

Why don't supermarkets need constitutions so that customers know what to expect?

Would Northern Rock have been saved if it had had a constitution!?!
