Good news for the middle classes!

Your future's bright!

"The gap between [] independent and comprehensive schools is growing among the highest achieving pupils".

As no political party is prepared to remedy the situation by creating more grammar schools, there will be fewer candidates competing for higher paying jobs in the future!

Creating grammar schools will not cure the problem completely, but the issue of a voucher for each pupil, and an absence of state interference will. Completely.

Anonymous, your point assumes that every parent values education equally. I don't believe they do!

A voucher scheme will improve the availability of good quality schools in certain areas but would not be acceptable to local education authorities as their jobs depend upon allocating resources instead of using the market!
