Child Poverty Unit

Should the new Child Poverty Unit focus on why 69% of UK Muslims of Pakistani and Bangladeshi origin live in poverty yet have the highest number of live births per female by age 45 at 4.0 and 3.7 !?!

It's because of the baby bonus.

If you are in a workless household, you get an extra £120 a week if you have two kids*.

As opposed to a single earner/average wage couple, who get £24 extra if they have two kids.

I covered it here.

*The figure may be slightly different for an unemployed couple, I admit, but you get the gist.

People bleat about child poverty, but seem happy to let parents bring children into that world of poverty.

Q: Who's responsibility is it? The State, or the parents?

A: The latter.
