Working for us?

MPs will have 91 days - 18 working weeks - holiday in 2008!

"MPs are reported to have written to the Senior Salaries Review Board saying the rise is needed to bring them into line with senior civil servants and GPs." - BBC News Online, December 2006.

How many senior civil servants or GPs have as much holiday!?!

It's just pathetic. Our Mediocrities of Parliament are a bloody disgrace - and that certainly includes my own. She never answers my letters on tuition fees, the referendum, residential care charges... she even refused to see me at one of her fabled surgeries.

Utter crap.

Alfie, just imagine the state of Britain if MPs only took four weeks holiday each year!!

3,000 new offences were created between 1997 and 2006 - despite all those holidays!

Alfie, just be grateful MPs don' have four weeks holiday each year like lesser mortals!!

PS MPs might argue that so many holidays save the taxpayer money as they don't travel between their constituencies and Westminster whilst on holiday!!
