Why are officials "under pressure" to issue visas to meet productivity targets rather than ensure they are issued correctly!?!
It should take longer to approve visas than reject them.

At least it would in a sane world where our nation's obligations to the citizens of another nation exist only to the extent that our mutual interests are served, to allow trade, business, tourism and migration that is of benefit to both.
The problem has been created by assuming rights where none should exist.
