Student ghost towns

Is the Government genuinely shocked that "student ghost towns " are created by students choosing to live within walking distance of their University to save travel time and money!?!

The only way Government could end "student ghost towns" would be to reduce the size of each University.

How much are the "outside consultants" charging to come up with their proposals!?!

Apparently they've set up a commission to do a cost-benefit analysis of all the other commissions.

Our local 'Uni' (Edge Hill Uni) was voted the worst in the country, absolute bottom of the class last year. It used to be a perfectly adequate Teacher's Training College - then, some 6 years ago, it was suddenly branding itself as a Uni....

Soon, they started to push for expansion, more students from all over the country - and the world arrived. Soon anti - social stuff started to happen as more and more students arrived. Now the Uni - this seat of learning about the Media, TV Game Shows and the thoughts of David Beckham want to expand. Ever fawning, the council have given the go ahead for building on 30 acres of pristine green belt. The people of the local market town of Ormskirk is dead set agin it - but hey, who is going to take any notice of them?

Making the crappest Uni in the country bigger doesn't make it better - it just means there is a bigger pile of crap....
