"People will be saying 'wouldn't it be great to have that Blair back because we can't stand that Gordon Brown'" - David Miliband, 8 February 2007.
"Brown’s poll rating has fallen to minus 37, down from plus 48 last August. The collapse is the most dramatic of any modern-day prime minister, worse even than Neville Chamberlain who in 1940 dropped from plus 21 to minus 27 after Hitler’s invasion of Norway." - The Sunday Times, 13th April 2008.

Quite a few of us were saying that before GB got in too.
Many of the most idiotic aspects of NL's policies in the last ten years, such as the overcomplication of the tax system, the waste of our gold reserves and the insane incentive-destroying tax credits system were all GB's.
I suppose in his favour it was his lack of enthusiasm that kept us out of the Euro.
