Mental health inequality

The Healthcare Commission has found that "black people are three times more likely to be admitted to mental health hospitals than the rest of the population" and urgently need to find why.

Does the widespread use of cannabis in areas such as Brixton contribute to the problem in which case it's a lifestyle issue?

"You only have to walk down Brixton High Street and you face a barrage of offers for you to buy Hashish or whatever from aggressive drug dealers." - Councillor Paul McGlone, Ferndale ward, Brixton.

Recent research found that "Almost half of patients treated for a cannabis related mental disorder go on to develop a schizophrenic illness."

Sounds like someone has some cash burning a whole in their budget. Focus group anyone?
