No Go4 Hajj!

"I am ashamed to say to my friends that these are Muslims who have taken our money." - Fake visa scam victim Dr Nadim Nayar, £25,000 out of pocket.

Would Dr Nayar have found it more acceptable if Christians had taken his money!?!

Message for Snafu from Dr. Nayyar.
Thank you for your comments about my shame that people claiming to be Muslims may be deceiving fellow Muslims.
You are clearly an intelligent, empathic person with a highly developed & critical brain. I am most impressed by your observations.
I will pray that you are blessed with EVEN MORE empathy in your long life.

This story introduces us to a whole new concept:

'The Lying Arab'

Who knew??

Mark Wadsworth said...

No, to be fair he meant he would have been less ASHAMED if he had been robbed by Christians.

He'd probably have been quite happy if he had been robbed by a Jewish businessman as that would reinforce his religious prejudices.

Previous commentators miss the point or are just prejudiced themselves. This was not just a purchase in a shop but the result of negotiation. If you negotiate with a worshipper of money, you may be misled, classic case is a used car salesman. If you deal with someone who you think shares some moral beliefs eg a religious person of any faith, you expect a certain standard as they will be accountable to their deity. Comments like 'lying arab' (even though these are not arabs) show the colour of your soul.

I think I understand what he means. imo he is obviously one of those muslims that continually goes on about decadent westerners and how his own kind would never do that. He has now learnt a valuable lesson.

At least if it was one of us who did it then he would have his case proven.

On the plus side. No one is going to call for heads to roll over this.

Do they really?

Or do yours show you up as an insufferable pompous humourless PC windbag?

That's very funny.

Greetings once again.
Allow me to clarify. Anyone who obtains monies by deception is a criminal, regardless of race, colour, religion etc..
However, someone of the same faith would understand the enormity of such areligious journey, & my shame is that that line of trust has been abused to excess i.e. using an alleged position of being a "religious soul mate " to deceive others.

I find it unfortunate that some of you make stereotypical assumptions of my opinion of other religions. I am grateful for all your comments. Bless you all.

e.g. if one person abused another, it would be crime. If a doctor abused a patient, it would be looked upon as not just a crime, but also a total abuse of trust.

I find it unfortunate that some of you make stereotypical assumptions of my opinion of other religions. I am, however, grateful for all your comments. Bless you all.
