How do you solve a problem like gun crime?

When life is considered cheap across many parts of south London, how can politicians ever be expected to quell the latest spate of teenage murders?

Forcing men to stay with their families is not the solution.

There is no easy or quick solution.
The government has for years devalued the traditional family life. They have done this by financial means and continually promoting live stiles away from the norm.
Burglars etc (if ever caught) get a slap on the wrist. A pensioner fails to pay their rates and they are flung into jail.
Etc.etc.
The country has lost the plot and its been lost for far to long to rectify.
If you are young I suggest the best thing to do would be to emigrate.

Anonymous, too many young men in South London look up to drug dealers as they have 'respect', have the cars and have the women!

Unfortunately, they seem to be able to enjoy these with very limited risks of being apprehended by the Police.

Will the Police be allowed to increase their use of stop and search in these areas and increase the prison population from this community without being labelled racist!?!

Stop and Search would be a tool to use, but as you say, to use Stop and Search will be condemned as racist.
The problems however are to deep for any simple or quick solution.
