How do unemployed people unable to speak English qualify for benefits in the UK?

If they cant speak english in the first place then they cannot live here. If they want to live here then they shoud have to work for it - english is the international trade language isnt it?
I bet if we were tourists in their country and they wanted us to buy their wares they would soon start learning the lingo then!
Do it first then show that you are making an effort and not just coming here for the gravy train
Companies have to set up helpdesks with advisors who speak english and another language to help these people if they have difficulties - this costs our comapnies money and prevents companies from using these funds to benefit the company and its customers.
If I wanted to go and live in a foregin country i would have to learn the language before I went or I would not expect to survive - why should they be different!
