Undercover Mosque

If the BBC was prepared to use an undercover reporter to infiltrate the BNP, why was it not prepared to commission a TV programme to "infiltrate 'moderate' mosques as well?

He captures chilling sermons in which Saudi-trained preachers proclaim the supremacy of Islam, preach hatred for non-Muslims and for Muslims who do not follow their extreme beliefs - and predict a coming jihad. "An army of Muslims will arise," announces one preacher. Another preacher said British Muslims must "dismantle" British democracy - they must "live like a state within a state" until they are "strong enough to take over."

Undercover Mosque, Channel 4, 8pm tonight.

Well at least another reporter did, I'm not surprised by what this says.

Ellee, it was a very disturbing programme.

Having heard the hatred directed towards all Kaffirs (unbelievers), it was a shock to learn of the close connections between this particular Mosque and Government policy.

ellee, snafu.

your being naive. i am gettign the real lectures (unedited). i am planning to put them on you-tube. They have edited it out, and made the lecturer say something totally different. Also that was no one sermon, it was a few mixed and matched together. if you are interested in the truth. email me cheeky_s0d@yahoo.co.uk

Saf, we always need to be aware of selective editing by journalists to sensationalise their documentaries. Dispatches could be guilty as clips from the Mosque were apparently interspersed with clips from controversial DVDs.

However, the preachers were still preaching to audiences at the Mosque and you have ignored Saudi involvement at the Regent's Park Mosque. The hatred directed at the Kaffir and it's repeated use seemed to be quite convincing though!

The BNP have been condemned for far less by comparison!

Editing or no editing, we are not stupid. We heard the words and we heard the tone of voice. We saw the body language and we saw the faces.

The words matched the body language so the editing could not have been that deciptful now could it?

Typical bloody attitude....we did nothing wrong. You are being homophobic. It's so unfair.
