News of the World Priorities

If the News of the World was unable to publish the Muhammed cartoons for fear of inciting religious hatred, why is it publishing photos of British soldiers abusing Iraqi prisoners?

This is further proof that British and US soldiers in Iraq have gone too far in offending and humiliating people. - Assistant editor of Al-Hayat newspaper.

I thought the same. where is their sense of 'responsibility' that they banded about so quickly over muslim senstitivities when it applies to our soldiers LIVES. I asked the same over at ATW. its infuriating. i think the most effective route is to ask people to boycott murdochs papers. No loss. Whos with me?

Perhaps to head off such incidents in the future? Pray tell, what's publishing slighting depictions of Muhammed in aid of? Heading off people being Moslem in the future? How do you even come to equate these?

Speaking of a sense of responsibility, if you're so worried about your soldiers' lives, you might want to elect a government that keeps them IN BRITAIN, where their lives are presumably less in danger.
