Labour's new third way?

Why is the Treasury unable to consider cuts in spending to keep within current fiscal rules!?!

Overall tax revenues can also be increased by cutting taxes to promote growth!

Common sense evidently has no place in this discussion as far as the government are concerned.

Closing schools and hospitals and taking away support from the most vulnerable in our communities? How very dare you!

It is interesting that taxes are always to do with schools and hospitals and helping the elderly etc. when anyone talks of cuts.

I have been researching where money for too many overpaid civil servants, huge failed and unecessary projects, consultancy fees for projects that never even get off the ground, quangos, MPs perks, French farmers, pointless wars etc comes from. I think I have identified a charitable foundation in Alpha Centauri.

The labour government and common sense have never gone hand in hand and I don't think sensible logic has ever been a part of their policies.

It's good to see that despite Britain's economic travails, Gordon Brown can still find another £30m to throw at the Palestinians!
