Welcome to the Police State!

"Police, probation and local authorities will also be expected to identify and share information about people who are at risk of committing violent crimes."

Action plan targets violent crime

How many new prisons will be built to house these offenders?

Should sentences be increased and tougher!?!

The answer is none. All it will do is generate some more non jobs and more data for our stalinist databases.

Bags, I thought it was interesting that they used the word "risk" rather than "threatening" to commit a serious crime!

Who says the victim culture is dead!?!

Snafu, I remember commenting on a similar thing in the past.

If I remember it can be a copper, social worker, even a traffic warden or a neighbour who can flag your name on this DB and from then on it will be used against you.

But as they cast the net so wide they gather that many names they can't process them and when someone does blow they find them on the db but have not done anything about it.

So many dbs not enough public sector workers. Yet.

Call me old-fashioned, but I think they should concentrate on nicking the ones who have already committed a crime. Have I missed something?
