Drunk PC

Given that a Police Road Safety officer should know more about the consequences of drink driving than other drivers, shouldn't PC Andy Walker be sacked immediately?

The court was told he had consumed two pints of beer and a glass of wine at the party. He waited for 30 minutes in the car park of the hotel for a taxi but when one did not arrive he decided he was fit enough to drive home.

How many other times has he driven whilst over the limit in his twenty year career without being spotted!?!

I'm afraid he really has dropped a clanger here.... theres not much else you can say. We all know the rules..... when you break em, you know the consequences. Thats what tells us apart from our "customers". Consequences mean something to us.

nice site.... added you!

Is this not the reason that the large majority of people believe it is one rule for us and one for them?

Well it's good to know that the police officer that arrested PC Walker did so with integraty and was not swayed by the fact he was an officer from the same force. Unfortunatly for PC Walker he will not be remembered for all the good work he has done but only for being a off duty police officer that was a drunk driver that should have known better, this appears to have been recognised by the courts as a 16 month ban is a far more robust sentance than many would have attracted. I would anticipate that internal disaplinary action will also be robust with much harder hitting punishments ahead for PC Walker !!!
