National Intern Scheme

If graduates can't fend for themselves, why should anyone employ them!?!

"These are the children of the baby-boomers. They will be a very big group. What do we do with them? We can’t just leave people to fend for themselves." Skills Secretary John Denham on the "National intern scheme".

People should be left to fend for themselves, just as no one would expect the Government do their shopping for them!

They've been spoon fed, nannied and covered in cotton wool so far, why stop now? Saves all that "being in competition" nonsense. It might undermine some of the poor things!

There is only so much photocopying that can be done. Will subsidised graduates replace agency temps? Has this scheme been thought ou properly?

Sorry but it is the government who pushed to get so many people into higher education, it should come as a suprise when graduates turn around at the end of it and demand to know what happened to the opportunities they were promised.
