Why weren't Stansted Airport Fire Services asked to hose 50 protestors down with ice-cold water during this morning's protest!?!
Their selfish contempt of others should be penalised rather than rewarded with the oxygen of publicity!

Surely if the police had been told that some protesters had mental illnesses the firearms unit would have turned up and shot half a dozen before going back to the station for paperwork and bacon sandwiches.
Why did they need so many Police Officers on site when I understand all the protestors had locked themselves to some fence railings so they couldn't make a dash for it even if they had wanted to!?!
Exactly, they were chained to a fence, they would have been sitting ducks for the good old cold water treatment.
Get all the police to stand back and ask the "suicide bomber" that infiltrated the group to reveal him or herself.
Video the self defecating panic for you-tube hysterics!
Give the protestors a choice.
A) Get off the runway NOW
OR either
B) Water cannon
Or
C)taxi a big jet down to where they are for a full bore engine test.
Protesters are tresspassers. If you break the law you cannot appeal to the law for protection
