Pirates v French Navy

Why are Somali pirates being mocked for attempting to capture a French warship?

It should have been easy!

I was thinking the same thing you were. Pirates mistook a French naval vessel for a cargo ship. That says a lot more about the French navy than the Somali pirates!

French sailors were probably lying around the deck, unshaven, half drunk. Who can blame the pirates?

Well, it could also be that they foud the British ships too ugly for their taste. Who knows?
