Cohabitation laws

Are lawyers condemning the Government's retreat from new rights for cohabiting couples because of the amount of revenue they will lose!?!

"I was furious frankly: there are huge amounts of injustice as things stand." - Jane Craig, the association of family lawyers.

49% of the population know there is no such thing as common law marriage!

The whole thing makes me sick, they are always yapping on about 'rights' which sounds like a good thing, but that 'right' (usually for the woman to help herself to the man's income or asset) has an equal and opposite cost to the other party, and of course a huge net transfer to the bloody lawyers. Kill them all.

This all should be regulated by private contracts and agreements including pre-nuptials, in the absence of which, there should be no assumption that either party owes the other party anything if they split up.
