Bulls!

If officials have "no timetable" to slaughter of a so-called sacred bullock which tested positive for TB, can other farmers claim racial discrimination if their herds are threatened with slaughter due to TB?

A couple of months ago a farmer in Cheshire had his entire herd of pedigree cows slaughtered because of a paper mix up. After being served with the notice, the farmer pleaded with DEFRA to give him just a week's stay of execution to give him time to get the paperwork corrected.

The cows did not have any diseases and were perfectly healthy. The error was purely adminstrative.

Needless to say,DEFRA utterly refused to budge, the men from the Ministry arrived on the dot with their captive bolt guns and topped the lot.

The farmer has had to sell up as he is now ruined.
(But I don't think he was a Hindu - or any of the cows were sacred). So that's alright then.
