Should the national minimum wage be scrapped given that nearly 1m young people are unemploymed?
Are unemployment figures still relevant even given that 1 in 4 people are not working rather than merely unemployed!?!

1. Yes of course the NMW should be scrapped.
2. And let's scrap means testing of benefits as well (in fact, let's make them universal). No more poverty trap.
3. And let's reduce taxes and regulations hampering business and employment while we're at it.
What can possibly go wrong?
What can possibly go wrong!?!
Very few support such policies electorally!
PS I see the LibCons aren't proposing to cut taxes to increase the overall tax take!
The minimum wage must be scrapped if we are ever going to offer the hope of paid employment to millions of young people.
How about a maximum wage? At the very least the bankers owe us that until they pay off the debt they got us in to!
It should be no interest to the give at whatbprice a worker contractsvto work for an employer.
The govt should create a benefits system that rewards work, even low paid work. Like a Citizens Income.
Animals in the wild forage for themselves; when humans feed them, they become dependent on humans and unable to fend for themselves. When people had to work to survive, they fought their way out of poverty; when they live on the dole, it's forever.
