Inciting hatred?

Will West Midlands Police be prosecuting Mohammad Naseem, the chairman of Birmingham's Central Mosque, for inciting violence at the weekend!?!

It's unlikely!

I am not sure I understand your point here.

Dr Naseem told his congregation to vent their feelings not commit acts of violence, there is an important difference between the two. Presumably the EDL were there to vent their feelings as well and yet you are not asking if their leaders will be arrested. Just wondering why that is? I mean it turned to violence sure but by all accounts both sides were involved in that, exactly the same amount of people from both sides were arrested. Why is it that the EDL have the right to protest but the Muslims do not have the right to counter that protest? You site this article as your source but you ignore the fact that it clearly states the police had assured Dr Naseem that the protest and counter protest would be held in different places, before he encouraged the counter protest.

I think you misunderstand the law, encouraging counter protest is not incitement to violence or hatred and therefore there is no way that he would be arrested for it so it is kind of a moot point is it not?
