NHS is best?

If the NHS is the best in the world, why has no other country adopted the NHS funding model!?!

Good question. But you are missing the point like everybody else.

There are lots of countries where healthcare is funded out of taxation or compulsory insurance or anything in-between.

That's not the problem.

The problem is the state-monopoly on provision.

Mark, I thought you knew me better than that!

I have no problems with state funding of healthcare or education, I also struggle with the concept of the state-monopoly on provision and the penalisation of anyone who dares to seek an alternative!
