This "get tough" on health tourists is just another bit of smoke and mirrors nonsense from this government.
If they have a chronic medical problem then requiring them to leave a hospital without removing them from the country could simply cost more as the hospital is obliged to take them in again in when they have the next attack.
This is particularly true of HIV where treating the secondary infections can be far more expensive than providing the anti-HIV drugs.
