Controversial BBC Research

What has prompted a BBC investigation to find that "a growing number of women from overseas are travelling to Britain to give birth in NHS hospitals"?

Are they worried about the current funding crisis in the NHS? Would ID cards limit the abuse!?!

    Producing your NHS card would. Quite simple really. Just more examples of health tourism which could easily be resolved. I wonder how these woman travel here? Presumably by car since you cant fly so close to giving birth. Heavily pregnant women should be properly quizzed at customs and made to produce the eu/other medical insurance forms.
