Boris can take comfort in not being the only one wrong about him though, if indeed the allegations prove to have substance. Even Ken Livingstone was quite approving when he was first mentioned as a candidate.
beXoggoth, I suspect you are right! When Boris was appointed, there were screams of "racist" from certain quarters so it was politically expedient for him to be "inclusive" even if someone had a checkered history!

PPS I dislike contrarian claims that he has been good for children even if there are allegations against him!
Allegaions are just that - allegations. The police investigated those complaints at the time, but no charges were filed.

ReplyDeleteI suspect causes for concern were overlooked by Johnson and the Tory party generally as he was keen for his administration to appear inclusive.
This sort of thing does no favours for blacks at all.
