Liberal Democrats have condemned a reasonable idea of elderly people deferring council tax payments until their death as "saddling grieving families with death taxes".
How much worse would it be to discover that Liberal Democrats are inheriting the estate!?!

ReplyDeleteBoth Conservatives and Liberal Democrats have called this idea a death tax, and I’m inclined to agree. It’s by time we realise that council tax is too high, as well as dated – It needs to be radically reformed, giving us something clearer and more transparent, as well as cheaper.
ReplyDeleteThe community charge was fairer, simpler, more efficient and transparent… it was great, apart from the riots. I say we bring it back, or at least a modified form.
